Join us as we travel to Adams River for the miracle of the Salmon Run. The Adams River is one of the most important sockeye salmon breeding areas in North America. The run occurs in mid-October and can bring millions of fish to a concentrated area near the river mouth.

Tour Details by Day

Day 1 – St. Albert to Golden

Meals Included: None

Your Adams River Salmon Run tour begins today as you board your motor coach and meet your guide. We will make our way south through Red Deer and Calgary and then travel west through the picturesque Rocky Mountains on our way to our evening destination in Golden, BC.

Day 2 – Golden to Quaout Lodge

Meals Included: Breakfast

This morning we will once again board our coach and continue our tour through Revelstoke with a coffee stop and then continue onto the Quaaout Lodge & Spa. Upon arrival, the group will be split into two groups. Group 1 will experience the salmon run while paddling the path of the salmon in a 12 seater voyageur canoe from the mouth of the Adams River on Shuswap Lake, down the “Little River” to Little Shuswap Lake and then returning to the lodge. Group 2 will be experiencing a land based program with local interpreters teaching about the salmon run and local culture. Your evening is free to enjoy the spectacular lodge and spa with incredible views of the lake.

Day 3 – Quaaout Lodge

Meals Included: Breakfast

Today will be a reverse of yesterday. Group 2 will be experiencing the salmon run from canoes with the salmon swimming only a few inches from the surface. Group 1 will be enjoying the land based program with local interpreters. You will have your afternoon free to book yourself into the spa or sign up for a workshop to make a local keepsake. Enjoy the tranquility and “Hear the Legend…Feel the Spirit” of the Quaaout Lodge and Spa at Talking Rock Golf Resort.

Day 4 – Quaaout Lodge to Home Cities

It is time to say goodbye to the mountainous scenery and tranquil lakes and make our way towards our home cities. We will retrace our way back through Sicamous, Revelstoke, and Golden then back into Alberta taking us back to our home with new friends and fond memories of the fantastic miracle of the salmon run of 2018.
