Day 1 – Edmonton to Sicamous
Welcome aboard our deluxe coach as your tour begins in Edmonton. Travel south along Highway 2 through Red Deer, Calgary and into Banff National Park. Leaving Banff after lunch you cross into beautiful British Columbia. Sit back and enjoy the magnificent ruggedness of mountains, lakes and rivers as you go through Yoko National Park. After stopping in Golden for coffee, it’s over Rogers Pass through Revelstoke & into Sicamous, your overnight destination.
Day 2 – Sicamous to Vancouver
This morning after breakfast it’s time to board your coach and begin your trek to Vancouver. Enjoy the amazing scenery as you travel the scenic Fraser Canyon. After a lunch stop in Hope, we make our way to Richmond and The River Rock Casino, your accommodation for the next 2 nights.
Day 3 – Vancouver
This morning you will have a guided tour of Vancouver where you’ll see the Olympic Cauldron, Stanley Park, Canada Place, English Bay, Granville Island, Chinatown & Gastown. We will have you back to the hotel early afternoon to enjoy the pool, one of the many restaurants on site or the Casino. Take a walk on the beautiful marina & boardwalk overlooking the Fraser River or take in some local shopping in the area.
Day 4 – Vancouver to Victoria
This morning after a leisurely start, it’s off to Victoria. En route we will stop in Steveston for lunch. Discover this alluring seaside mix of historic sites, delicious dining and charming shops that together make up one of the provinces most beloved destinations. Then it’s on to Tsawwassen where you board a B.C. Ferry for a cruise to Vancouver Island, arriving at Swartz Bay, then on to Victoria. After checking into your room at Chateau Victoria, relax in the pool or jacuzzi before having dinner in one of the many restaurants nearby.
Day 5 – Victoria City Tour/Butchart Gardens
This morning you will have a guided tour of Victoria where you will see its lovely homes and gardens with points of historic interest. After lunch it’s off to Butchart Gardens, where you will see 50 acres of floral wonderland mixed with spacious lawns, streams and lily ponds. Enjoy lunch at the gardens in one of the many restaurants on site. We will be back to the hotel in time for supper.
Day 6 – Free Day in Victoria
Free day to enjoy all that Victoria has to offer. Check out the beautiful Provincial Museum, walk the waterfront and take a boat cruise up the Gorge, have tea at the Empress Hotel or enjoy some shopping on Government Street. The day is yours to enjoy this beautiful city.
Day 7 – Victoria to Campbell River
Today we will leave Victoria and continue our journey north up the Island. Along the Malahat Hwy we will stop for a photo op and enjoy the amazing views. Then it’s on to the town of Duncan to view the many totem poles, as well as enjoy a coffee and stretch break. Afterwards, we will head to Chemainus for a tour of the many murals that adorn the town and enjoy lunch on your own. After we will continue to Campbell River. We will take Highway 19A and enjoy the Oceanside Route as we pass through Qualicum & Parksville on our way to Black Creek and Coastal Black Winery. We will have a tour and tasting before arriving into Campbell River for the evening.
Day 8 – Campbell River to Telegraph Cove Resort
Today after a complimentary breakfast we will make our way north up the island to Telegraph Cove Resort. Voted one of the 10 best towns in Canada to visit, this tiny sawmill and cannery community has a rich and colourful history. Take a walk down the wooden boardwalk and be amazed by the view. After lunch in the Killer Whale Cafe, we will enjoy a 3 1/2 hour cruise with Stubbs Island Whale Watching, the first whale watching company in B.C. Enjoy your sea adventure aboard their 60ft cruiser in the whale watching capital of B.C. Afterwards, they’ll be time to explore the shops and check out the whale museum, before heading back to Campbell River for the evening.
Day 9 – Campbell River to Port Alberni
Today after a complimentary breakfast, we will head to Elk Falls Suspension Bridge to see the impressive Falls before we leave the beautiful area of Campbell River. Afterwards we will make our way to Port Alberni with a stop in Coombs for lunch and Catherdral Grove in MacMillan Provincial Park to see the old growth forest. We’ll arrive in Port Alberni at the Hospitality Inn, in time for supper and to enjoy the evening.
Day 10 – Port Alberni to Tofino
Today we will continue our journey to the “wild west coast” of Vancouver Island and visit the town of Tofino. We will have time to enjoy this coastal town with its unique shops and memorable landscape. After lunch we will take a stroll on one of the many beautiful beaches and enjoy the magnificent scenery. Then we will travel south to Ucluelet for a quick tour and a coffee break before heading to Nanaimo for our last evening on Vancouver Island.
Day 11 – Nanaimo to Sicamous
All good things must come to an end, so it’s back on the coach for the start of our journey home. We board the ferry in Departure Bay for your sailing to Horseshoe Bay on the mainland and then we’ll take a different route and head up the Coquihalla Highway to Kamloops. Before we arrive to our Hotel in Sicamous, we’ll enjoy a wind up dinner at a local pub.
Day 12 – Sicamous to Home Cities
Today you travel back on the Trans Canada Highway to Banff & Calgary, enjoying the scenery of the beautiful Rockies. Then it’s on to Highway #2 north to Edmonton where you return home with new friendships and fond memories of your West Coast vacation.
